I am so looking forward to sharing our yearly rituals of the candle lighting service (12/24), the burning bowl (12/29), and the white stone service (1/5), as we close 2024 and begin 2025. In each of these we go within and listen to Spirit’s whispers. This is the ultimate spiritual practice - to be still and know the truth within.
It is so very joyful to share this as a community. We see our faces illuminated in the dark by the candles; we watch the fire consume what we release; and we discover our word for the year. We do not journey alone, but together.
Years ago, on White Stone Sunday, Rev. Joyce invited a few members to share their dream with the whole church, and then we held that dream with them. This is something that has not yet manifested, about which you feel passionate and want to bring into being. It is something that lights you up!
Are you willing to share your dream? I am inviting you to contact me if you would be willing to do this on January 5th. (Please let me know in person or by text by December 29th.) It requires vulnerability and courage, and I know you are up to that! I would like 2-3 people to gift us with their personal, beautiful dream.
As we speak things aloud, we give them more energy. We will hold your dream with love and the conviction that with God all things are possible. It is a wonderful opportunity to be supported and to take a stand for yourself!
May we each have a deep experience of the Christ presence and feel the oneness from which we arise this season. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Joyful Kwanzaa!
