When one is full of passion and enthusiasm about something, one throws all they have at the project/person/ministry. One gives of their time, energy, and resources because
it makes them happy. The fire of zeal is alive and burning. We watch that which we love grow and expand, or we watch other people resurrecting because of some ministry that we bring to birth. As I said on Sunday, our zeal can take many different expressions.
After the devastation of the hurricane Helene, we may support families who have lost the basics. We will be accepting gifts through this coming Sunday (cash, check or online). At the board meeting we will decide which hands-on group will receive this gift. The scan code below goes directly to our account for hurricane relief.
Maité will be sharing this Sunday during the talk about ministries that she has been helping for years here in our area. We will collect goodies for these places as we stretch our outreach into the community. Our Love-in-Action teams are very enthusiastic about the many possibilities to donate, show up, and give energy to these worthy causes.
The fire in our souls can become a flame and a bright light that spreads hope and transformation here and beyond our area. Charles Fillmore reminds us, "The Inexhaustible Resource of Spirit is equal to every demand. There is no reality in lack. Abundance is here and now manifest." Let us share our time, talent and treasure without concern and with great zeal!
With Love and Enthusiasm,
Rev. Patty
