As we start a new month, we turn to another power – the power of power. God is not “some being” that expresses power; God is power itself. We are the divine power expressing powerfully. We do this through concentration, self-mastery, and spiritual authority.
The location for this power is the back of the throat. We speak things into existence – marriage vows, installation words for a minister or a chaplain, words of remembrance at a celebration of life service, words of comfort and presence.
You will be wowed by our powerful guest, Daniel Nahmod, this Sunday. His words, music and spirituality express such depth and call forth one’s own connection to the Divine. On May 21st, our chaplains take the platform. Susan Green, our amazing Prayer Chaplain Coordinator, will give the talk and others will lead the service. I will happily take it all in and will lead part of the installation. This is our foundational group – Unity was founded on the power of prayer. Our annual and quarterly meeting will follow the service after a brief fellowship time.
