At the Unity in Community meeting, we shared the following statement: "Unity is a positive, practical, and forward-thinking approach to the teachings of Jesus the Christ, recognizing the divine within each of us, and the power of prayer. Unity honors the universal truths in all religions, and respects each individual’s right to choose a spiritual path."
The board has adopted this to use as a quick response, and we plan to post it in the entry or hallway for those who are new to Unity. There are more ideas to explore, yet this sets a tone of acceptance and emphasis on the Christ truths. We love saying no dogma and having an evolving understanding of who we are and growing into our best selves.
